AISIM's job interview simulator puts you in a live voice behavioral round with Meera Iyer, a senior engineering manager who has interviewed hundreds of candidates and no longer accepts vague answers. You speak, she probes, and the sim ends with a graded Sim Report that quotes what you actually said. The persona draws on real questions reported by recent candidates, updated July 2026.
What the sim recreates
A standard 5 to 10 minute behavioral loop: introduction, two to three deep-dive questions on real projects, a values or conflict question, and a closing chance for you to ask questions. The persona does not coach you mid-answer, does not fill silences, and will interrupt if you ramble past forty seconds without a point.
How difficulty changes this particular round
The dial here controls how much benefit of the doubt your stories get. Warm-up gives you all of it — restarts allowed, structure forgiven. Realistic gives you the amount a busy hiring manager has on a Tuesday afternoon: one direct challenge, a clock in the room, and no rescue if your example runs out of substance. Nightmare gives you none, and reads every "we" as a question about what you personally did.
What your Sim Report grades
This round is graded on specificity, structure, ownership and recovery — recovery being what happened in the ten seconds after a follow-up caught you out, which is usually the most diagnostic part of the transcript. Readiness is out of 100 and calibrated to the difficulty you ran, so a 68 at Nightmare is worth more than an 82 at Warm-up.

›How long does one run take?
Free runs cap at two minutes — including the one-time Nightmare trial. Paid runs cap around ten to twelve minutes for this scenario, which is enough for a full behavioral loop.
›Will the AI ever break character to help me?
No — the persona only softens if you signal distress. Otherwise it stays in role and lets you fail if you fail. That is the point.
