AI Salary Negotiation Simulator — practice asking for the number you actually want

The Raise lets you rehearse the negotiation you keep re-writing in your head. Rajan Malhotra, a CFO with a real budget and a very good poker face, sits across from you. You bring a number, an offer, or a competing offer. He counters — and waits.

What the sim recreates

A compensation conversation with a decision-maker: raise conversation, counter-offer, or competing-offer negotiation. The persona listens for anchors, tests your justification, and uses silence as pressure. He will not fill it for you.

How the difficulty dial changes the round

Warm-up is a friendly rehearsal with a manager who wants to help. Realistic is the room you actually walk into: professional, budget-conscious, one firm push-back. Nightmare anchors aggressively low, questions every claim, uses long silences, and returns to your first justification to poke holes in it.

What your Sim Report grades

Dimensions include anchoring, justification specificity, holding silence, handling counter-offers, and closing without giving ground back. Each moment is quoted from your actual audio with a concrete better line to say next time.

Frequently asked

Does it know real salary data?

It reasons about ranges but does not quote live market data. Bring your own research — the persona will test how you use it.

Can I practice a competing-offer scenario?

Yes. Add the offer details in the pre-sim context box and the persona will negotiate against it.

Will it ever accept my first number?

On Warm-up, sometimes. On Realistic and Nightmare, almost never — that is the point.

What if I get emotional or freeze?

Use Pause & breathe. The persona resets calmly and continues without penalty.

Is this for salary or all negotiations?

It is tuned for compensation. Vendor and client negotiations belong in The Pitch.
